Asia’s eCommerce giant Zalora x TOPSHOP is definitely a partnership worth celebrating especially for any fashion savvy fashionista and fashionisto in Taiwan. ZALORA, Asia’s online fashion destination, announced its partnership with leading fashion retailer, Wing Tai Retail, to bring covetable British fashion brand TOPSHOP online with ZALORA in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Fashion fans across the region can now purchase TOPSHOP anytime, anywhere via ZALORA’s website as of August 20,2015!
Topshop is known for championing the best of British style, it is one of the leading high street fashion retail brands. With over 500 shops worldwide, we can all safely agree that it has enjoyed massive success in fashion and as one of the first high street stores to introduce celebrity collaboration collections like Kate Moss and Beyonce. I am sure you can also recall Rihanna successfully suing Topshop. I remember when I moved to Taiwan, having moved from a fashion hub and heaven where all highend, luxury brands and high street stores to low income fashion retail stores were well represented and always stocked with various trends going beyond’s the regions own fashion tastes, it was a new fashion low to discover that Taiwan didn’t have a standing H&M, Forever 21,Bershka (they have all been recently opened), Topshop or River Island (River Island is another brand you can find on ZALORA’s website). As much as we all like other high street retailers it is always a fab when you have a varying choice. And if you a true lover of style; mixing high (high end) and low (from high street to the flea market) shows off your true artistic and fashionable side, shops like Topshop and River Island are a perfect fashion fix.
ZALORA is Asia’s version of ALOSTOURA in the Middle East or net-a-porter except for the slight different in brands and that Alsotoura ships internationally. ZALORA is best described as a combination of most high street fashion and hot brands, which translates into an affordable online shopping destination with great quality clothing. Having worked for an fashion Ecommerce company as their homepage stylist, editorial stylist for their print and ecommerce magazine, having browsed through ZALORA’s website I can safely recommend it. The homepage presentation is minimal and subtle and may almost “lose” you in a sense of it not being visually attractive enough to capture the attention of a young fashion consumer, however it is in sync with Taiwan’s subtle nature on everything.
