Miss Tourism 2015

Miss Tourism beauty pageant 2015Miss Tourism  2015 was nothing short of a glamorous affair. The alluring beauty pageant, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess S’khanyiso, has  undoubtedly caught the attention of the entire African continent as well as having warmed it’s way into the hearts of many Swazi’s. The Miss Swaziland Tourism Pageant is a brain child of the Imbali Foundation and was established in 2013 by Her Royal Highness Princess Sikhanyiso who is also the Patron Of Imbali Foundation. This is meant amongst other reasons to achieve better life, good education and good health for all young Swazi girls. Her Royal Highness Princess S’khanyiso and her siblings were in attendance including members of other African Royal families.

Miss Swaziland Tourism took place on July 31st, 2015 at Woodlands Restaurant at Ezulwini and of course the dress code was strictly elegance (a bow tie type of evening).

The Miss Tourism 2015 judge panel included ; Chief Judge: His Highness Crown Prince Etornam of Anlo, Ghana.

-Her Royal Highness Princess Tirelo of Bafokeng.

-Prince Africa Zulu of Onkweni,Zululand

-Mzwakhe Phiri (CEO, Dunkylaine Gym)

-Vinah Mamba (Former Miss Swaziland).

-DJ Sbu (Entrepreneur)

-Thobile Mncube (SABC News Reporter).

As it is to be expected in any beauty pageant, the contestants took part in  variety of activities and showcases during the pageant and finally the question and answer segment. Swaziland is known through out all of Africa to be in no shortage of beautiful women, and there certainly was no shortage of brain matter on this night. The girls wore an array of different outfits however my favorite of all is when they were in Swazi traditional attire; they looked gorgeous!

What stands out about Miss Swaziland Tourism in general including Miss Tourism 2015 are the prizes. One stands out more; the educational scholarship for these young women. It proves that Miss Tourism is not just your average beauty pageant but is dedicated to the empowerment of women. Material prizes are great to have especially when you have won or earned them however, material things perish and devalue over time but no one can ever take away your education and your academic qualifications. In giving 3 beautiful and obviously intelligent young women the opportunity to study at an institution like Limkowing, and their parents do not have to worry about tuition…chile that is a blessing huniee!
